This one puts out 570hp with the Whipple-Ford Racing W140ax twin screw supercharger and 60lb injectors. These SVT Cobra engines are hand built and signed by their UAW builders. The data plate is located on the rear edge of the driver's side door. It contains info on how this Cobra left the factory. Here is the window sticker that came with this Torch Red 2004 SVT Cobra coupe when new. It cost $35,895 when new. 2004 Mysti-Chrome Cobra coupe with 17x10.5 inch AFS chrome wheels. Mysti-chrome is a paint with special color shift ChromaFlair® pigments. ChromaFlair® light interference pigments came from Flex Products, Inc. in Santa Rosa, California. The paint shifts from a bright topaz that transitions to cobalt blue, then to royal purple, and finally into a deep onyx black as the viewing angle changes. The Mysti-Chrome package was over $4000 over a base Cobra. It included chrome wheels, the Mysti-Chrome paint, and Mysti-Chrome leather on the seats and steering wheel. The 1996 Mystic color was a different version of the paint. This Cobra wears a set of 315/35/17 Nitto 555R drag radials. This 2004 SVT Cobra has a custom Custom VRS 2.5-inch Off-road X-Pipe and a custom VRS 3-inch Cat back exhaust system with Flowmaster Super 40 mufflers and custom tips. Those wheels are 10.5 inches wide! Cobra's come with a 4.6L V8 DOHC Supercharged engine. This one has been modified with an S&B 10-inch cone air filter and a SprayItRacing MAF adapter. The black interior has Mystic seat inserts. There is also Mystic on the steering wheel. Yes, they color shift as well. The Cobra comes with these special SVT gauges. The VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) is located on the front edge of the dash and is visible through the windshield. Let's decode this one. 1FA stands for the Ford manufacturer. F is for driver and passenger air bags. P48 is the Cobra coupe model. Y is for the 4.6L DOHC supercharged cobra engine. X is a check digit which can be used to verify correct VIN numbers. 4 is the 2004 model year. F is for the Dearborn Michigan assembly plant. 162007 is the sequential body number. This is a Redfire 2004 Mustang SVT Cobra coupe. This is one of three red paints available for 2004. The Redfire is the most metallic of the three.
