Black 2003 Mustang Mach 1 Police SSP coupe, rear left view. The 2003 Mach 1 has a "Shaker" styled air intake scoop that cools down the special 305hp (at 5800rpm), 4.6 liter, double overhead cam, V8 engine. The Mach 1 came with either a 5-speed manual or 5 speed automatic transmission, both with a 3.55:1 rear axle ratio. Suspension changes lowered the car a half inch and received 13 inch front and 11.7 inch back Brembo breaks. Other Mach 1 features included a custom chin spoiler, hood tape stripe with edge pin striping, side stripe with Mach 1 graphic letters, a black free-standing rear wing, and 17 inch five-spoke alloy wheels patterned after the Magnum 500 wheels of the earlier Mach1s.
