Bright Bittersweet 1981 Mustang Cobra hatchback owned by K. VanderPol from Washington. This was our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting March 7, 2010. This Cobra has the 4.2L (256ci) V8 engine and an automatic transmission. The owner says, "I bought this car in Febuary of 1987 with 45,000 miles. It now has 101,000 but sits in the garage covered."

This Cobra has dual exhaust pipes. It says Cobra on the rear spoiler.
Under the hood is a 4.2L (256ci) V8 engine. This is the biggest of the engines offered on the 1981 Mustang. It was rated at 115 horsepower.

NEW POST Have you ever heard of one of these? The original window sticker called it a 1981 Ford Mustang Ghia Suncoupe. It is owned by Jason Bourdeau from Langley, BC, Canada. The sticker price was $11K. I believe the 'Suncoupe' if for the sunroof and the vinyl top was an aftermarket item. It has a 3.3L 6-cylinder engine and an automatic transmission.
