    
Check out this Black 1980 Cobra Mustang hatchback, it was our Attitude Of The Week for May, 17, 2009. Its owner says, I have owned the car since 1997. This 1980 Mustang Cobra represented the 1980 year in the 45 years of Mustang magazine. The 1980 Cobra package was patterned off the 1979 pace car model and came with dual sport mirrors, sport tuned exhaust with bright tailpipe extensions, forged metric aluminum wheels, special instrument cluster, 8000 rpm tachometer, and a 255ci, 4.2 liter, V8 engine. This car has optional rear quarter window louvers.
    
The front grille and front fascia of the 1980 Cobra Mustang was patterned after the 1979 Indianapolis Pace Car. It has the integral front spoiler with dual fog lamps.

Medium Blue Glow 1980 Mustang notchback owned by David from France! It has a 2.3L 4-cylinder turbo engine and an automatic. He resurrected it from a car cemetery in 2008 and painted it in 2009. He says he has a lot of fun with it.

This is a notchback body style. The rear glass and trunk lid are separate. A hatchback was also offered in 1980 where the rear glass and trunk lid was combined.

The interior is blue. The seats are vinyl and cloth. The interior is spotless.
These fox body Mustangs have comfortable looking rear seats - compared to other years. The seat bottoms and backs are flat from side to side and appear to have a lot of padding.
Here is the instrument cluster. It has gauges for alternator output, coolant temperature, engine rpm, metric speedometer (km/h in white around the outside), oil pressure, and fuel level.
    
A time capsule, this Bright Caramel 1980 Mustang coupe has just over 2000 miles on it. Options on this car include a white vinyl carriage roof that was factory made to look like a convertible with its top up and wire wheel covers. Mustang had not offered a convertible since 1973, so this carriage roof option was offered. It has the base level 140ci, 2.3L, 2-bbl, 4-cylinder engine.
