Page two of the Mustang II ad says, "It just may be the best news from Detroit in 9 1/2 years." It says that the Mach-1 is just as revolutionary as the first 1964 Mustang. Foremost, this mustang is smaller than last year. It's even a bit smaller than the 1964 Mustang!

This is the bigger of two engines offered on the 1974 Mustang II. It;s the optional 105hp 6-cylinder! It was rated at 170hp (4000rpm) and 140ft-lb of torque (3200rpm). It had a 2 barrel carburetor.
The interior is avocado green.
The dash is pretty basic but it does have an in-dash tach. It redlines at 5500rpm. The speedometer goes all the way up to 120mph.
The trunk is large. The spare tire is stored partly under the floor.

This car has an aftermarket 289 cubic inch, high output, 0.30 over 4 barrel, V8 engine. It also has an automatic transmission, full posi Detroit locker 411 rear end, and a limited slip front differential.
The door data tag shows that this car was originally a Silver 1G Mustang with gray BP interior.
