10 photos of a 1967 Aspen Red Mustang Ski Country Special Hardtop) This is a rare 1967 Mustang Ski Country Special hardtop owned by Frank Recupero of Okhurst, California. Frank says I found this special ordered Mustang Ski Country Special on cars.com. I had been looking for a decent 289 Mustang for about a year and found this in my back yard the next town over Coarsegold, California. Owned it for one year and 6 months, I got curious and ran the VIN#. It kept coming up special ordered, so I got more curious and ordered a Marti Report. The Marti Report solved the special order, it was something I never knew existed. What's a Ski Country Special? I did some more research and I'm very happy I did. This is 1 of 247 Ski Country Specials produced according to the Marti Report. I did very little mods. I had painted black stripes and new rims and dual exhaust on it. The rest of the car is stock. I also recovered the original badge for this model. I called the original owner up and asked her what was so special about the car; and she said her dad ordered it as a special model and there was some kind of badge that went on the decklid that was never put back on the car after one repaint. The owner asked me if I wanted the badge and I said sure; and now it's on the rear decklid where the dealer installed it in 1967.

15 photos of a 1968 Sierra Blue Mustang GT Rainbow Of Colors Hardtop) NEW POST This probably a one of a kind Sierra Blue 1968 Rainbow of Colors promotional GT Mustang hardtop. It has a black vinyl roof, aftermarket wheels, black side C stripe, vented hood, fog lamps, metal rocker panel trim, and a 390ci V8 engine. Scott Johnson's family bought this car in the mid 1970's from a local dealer, probably only one other owner. During the 70s the car was repainted to a match of its original factory color. Scott says that everyone thought that this could not have been a factory color since nothing like it is on the 1968 Mustang color charts until he recently ordered a Marti Report which showed the car as one of the Rainbow of Color promotional GT hardtops and it was painted Sierra Blue. The 1968-69 Rainbow of Colors promotion offered 13 special colors, so its a good chance the other two are not Sierra Blue. This amazing car was our Attitude Of The Week for November 23, 2008. See our 1968 data explorer for more information on the information we have been able to put together on all 13 colors.

5 photos of a 1969 Viper Red Shelby Hardtop) Jorge Espino owns this Viper Red 1969 Shelby (probably a clone) hardtop project car. It does not have a transmission or engine. The decals inside say 428. 428ci engines were put into Shelby GT-500s. Jorge says that it would make a nice GT-500 or GT-350.
