Body Styles (compare years, go back to 2020 summary information)
New for the 2020 Mustang are the 760hp supercharged GT500, an upgraded EcoBoost 330hp Performance Package, body tweaks (headlight surround, fenders, larger functional hood vent, black front center bumper cover), wheel upgrades (including carbon fiber), and new exterior paint colors (Twister Orange, Grabber Lime, Iconic Silver, and Rapid Red). Standard models include the fastback and convertible 4-cylinder turbocharged EcoBoost, fastback and convertible 5.0L V8 GT, fastback 5.2L V8 Shelby GT350, fastback 5.2L supercharged Shelby GT500, and the fastback BULLITT, which is back for a second year in a row. There are performance packages for the 4-cylinder EcoBoost and a Racing (R Package) for the GT350.

2.3L High Performance
New to 2020 is the 2.3L High Performance package for the 4-cylinder Mustang which adds Mustang GT brakes, and GT Performance Package aerodynamics and suspension components to push the horsepower to 330. Some of the features added included one of two unique wheels, its own grille design with offset tai-bar pony badge, active valve performance exhaust, GT Performance Package front air splitter, magnetic-painted sideview mirror caps, hood accent stripes, larger radiator, upsized rear sway bar, unique front springs, upgraded brakes, black-painted strut-tower brace, engine spun aluminum instrument panel trim, gauge pack, magnetic-painted raised black-style decklid spoiler, and 3.55 limited-slip rear differential.
Mustang GT
The 2020 Mustang GT follows the previous year with the 460hp, 5.0L V8, dual exhaust with quad tips, LED fog lamps, Track Apps and SYNC, unique wheels, 6-speed manual with rev matching, and upgraded brakes to name a few over the baselevel Mustang. The GT Premium group adds leather seats, upgraded stereo/speakers, SYNC3, selectable drive modes, pony projection lights, aluminum pedals, ambient/MyColor lighting, angled brush aluminum instrument panel, dual zone comfort, illuminated door sill, and premium door trim. There is also a Black Accent Package, a 2-level GT Performance Package, California Special Package, and Carbon Sport Interior Package.
GT Performance
Continuing is the 2020 GT Performance Package in two levels. The base level GT Performance Package ads one of two unique wheels, front splitter, silver painted strut-tower brace, larger radiator, upsized rear sway bar, heavy-duty front springs, K-member brace, Brembo brakes, performance rear wing spoiler, engine spun aluminum instrument panel, gauge pack, and 3.73 (manual) / 3.55 (automatic) Torsen limited-slip differential. Level 2 has its own wheels; MagneRide damping system; track designed springs, sway bar, and tuning; unique front splitter and rear spoiler; and optional Recaro seats.
California Special
The 2020 California Special package is an option for the GT premium adding 19" x 8.5" machined-face aluminum wheels with high-gloss Ebony Black-painted pockets, unique grille with tri-bar Pony badge, GT Performance Package front air splitter, pedestal-style decklid spoiler, mid-body side stripes, side scoops, carbon Hex aluminum instrument panel trim, Miko door-trim panel inserts with red stitching, ebony leather-trimmed seats with Miko inserts and red stitching, premium carpeted front floor mats with California Special script and red stitching, and unique California Special badging.
Bullitt
The Bullitt is back for a second year in a row with an un-ornamented, Dark Highland Green, 480hp 5.0L GT fastback with unique black 19 inch 5-spoke heritage wheels. It starts with the GT Premium but adds a lot inside and out. And is also available in Shadow Black exterior paint. Some of the exciting features on-top the GT Premium carried over from the previous year include: Brembo brakes, gauge pack, increased top speed (to 163mph), GT350 intake manifold, Torsen differential with 3.73 axle ratio, dark exhaust tips, blank front grille, unique lower grille, leather seats with green stitching, and white cue ball shift knob.
Mustang 55
The Mustang 55 is a special 55th anniversary package for the 5.0L and EcoBoost Mustang but only for Europe. It has unique exterior styling including distinctive bonnet and side-stripes, badging, and optional rear spoiler, and a high-specification interior.
Shelby Mustang
The Shelby Shelby GT500 is back for 2020 with a supercharged 5.2L V8 rated at 662hp and an all new design. The Shelby GT350 has 5.2L V8 just as the previous year along with an optional GT350R package. Options for the GT500 include the Carbon Fiber Track Pack, Handling Package, Technology Package, black painted roof, exposed carbon fiber instrument panel, painted or vinyl over-the-top racing stripes, Recaro seats, and vinyl side stripes.
Saleen Mustang
Roush Mustang
The 2020 Roush Mustang comes in three trim/performance levels: the 460hp Stage 2, 750hp Stage 3 and 775hp Jack Roush Edition. The R9 Aero Body Kit is part of all three packages. Optional additional packages include the exhaust and engine bay styling Competition Package, the brake and active exhaust Podium Package, the leather seat and gauge Sport Interior Package, the upgraded seat and pedal Premium Interior Package, and the leather and steering wheel Track Interior Package.
