Jason of Michigan brought this special Mustang in the rough back from Nebraska. He saw it a few years ago showing its unusual orange original paint here and there. Jason ran the VIN and door data code (65A blank 2A 16C 511913 0 W) and found it to be originally painted Aspen Red, ordered in the Denver area, and has filled in truck lid holes from a luggage rack. This all matches the local Denver special order Ski Country Special promotional package which was the winter version of High Country Special. This promotion featured 5 special order paints (Aspen Red being one of them), ski racks (trunk lid luggage rack), snow tires, and a Ski Country Special rear deck plaque. Jason hasn't found the original plaque but he's been able to confirm from other owners that this is a Ski Country Special.
