Page 6 and 7 of the 1982 Ford Mustang promotional booklet shows a Medium Vanilla 2-door GLX coupe. There is a Medium Gray metallic 3-door GLX hatchback with t-tops in the upper left. The Ghia luxury package which ran from 1974 to 1981 was renamed the GLX.
