(from page 4 of the 1965 Collection) Caspian Blue 1965 Mustang fastback with the C code 289ci 4-barrel engine and a five-speed (non original) manual transmission.

(from page 4 of the 1965 Collection) Caspian Blue 1965 Mustang fastback, front end view.

(from page 4 of the 1965 Collection) Caspian Blue 1965 Mustang fastback, rear end view. The 1965 Mustang had a pretty bare looking rear end. The only Mustang signage was on the gas cap. And in 1965 this was the real gas cap. This particular Mustang doesn't have the rear backup (or reverse) lights. Compare to this 1965 Mustang with reverse lights. Looks like another Mustang under restoration in the garage - off to the right. Might be a 1970.

(from page 5 of the 1965 Collection) Under the hood is the C code 289ci 4-barrel engine.

(from page 5 of the 1965 Collection) Nice looking white and blue interior. Carroll Shelby signed the glove box.

(from page 9 of the 1965 Collection) Check out this vintage photo taken in September 1964! That's Mike Mooney standing next to his new Caspian Blue 1965 Mustang hardtop. It had the big 289ci 271hp HiPo V8 engine and a manual transmission. This was taken outside the Patuxent River Naval Base while he was visiting his brother. Those look like dual redline tires! Look at the old cars in the background; not sure about the first one, second is a VW bug, third is a 65 LeMans or GTO.

(from page 15 of the 1965 Collection) Caspian Blue Mustang GT convertible owned by Eddie Anderson from Mobile, Alabama. This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting February 3, 2013. It is a factory GT with a 289ci 4v engine. It has a bench seat. Eddie is the third owner. The car has a bit over 26,000 miles on the clock and has had only one repaint. The Ragoon Red 1965 Mustang hardtop is Eddie's as well.
