It's our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting July 1, 2012. Randy tells us more, "This 67 HCS GT fastback when delivered with it's options made it a 1 of 1 (Marti report). The only fastback GT HCS with a standard 3 speed transmission and Aspen Gold. Now it enjoys a late model AOD [Automatic Over Drive], AC, power steering, and power front disk brakes. Its not a race horse but a nice weekend driver - never restored but maintained, but with a 3:55 rear end gear and 70 mph it still gets close to 19 mpg!!!!!."

This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting August 26, 2012. Bobby adds, "I bought the car new from the local Ford Dealer in August 1967. It is 90% original, no rust and no bondo. It was repainted in 2007, other than that it is original. I have a 1969 set of wheels on it, but I have the original wheels and wheel covers. The car has 67000+ miles on it. Always garage kept."

Judging from the advertisement and the 1967 Mustang colors, we believe all 7 Mustangs were silver frost and were hardtops. At the time, Super Valu was mainly in the upper Midwest. This ad was placed by Hood's Super Valu in the January 17th, 1967 edition of the Algona Upper Des Moines newspaper of Algona, Iowa. Who won these Mustang? It was sent in by site visitor, Gary, who noticed that we didn't have any photos of a Limited Edition 400 Mustang. These photos were taken soon after purchasing it new in 1967. He purchased it for his soon-to-be wife from C. Bradshaw, Inc. in Harvey, Illinois. Thanks Gary! Gary tells us more, "It was a special gold color with black vinyl top. It had black leather bucket seats with a 289 V8 with auto transmission and a floor console shifter. It had a 'Limited Edition 400' emblem on each of the front fenders. Everyone thought that it meant 400 cubic inches, but actually it designated a limited edition model of 400 cars for the Chicago market. A very sharp car and fun to drive. We eventually traded it in for a new Ford Maverick (DUMB)."

Dealer installed items; gauges, Shelby steering wheel, 427 heads, 427 dual point distributor, adjustable rocker arms, 3.89 gears, and rear mounted antenna. "

It was sold by JD Ball Ford in Miami on January 18, 1967. The car remained in Miami until 1986. I have owned it since 1997. The Shelby was an original painted Lime Gold Metallic and equipped with a 428 Police Interceptor. The car was painted red and the 427 installed in 1985. Or if you are looking for an over-the-top street car that gets tons of attention, Here it is. They body of this Mustang is very solid through-out, floors, trunk, doors and the frame. The dark metallic blue paint with withe stripes is beautiful and laser straight - color sanded and polished to a mirror finish. The painted-to-match original hood comes with the car. As you can see, trunk lid and spoilers have been added as a few other goodies have been added. The black interior is very clean as well. Door panels, carpet, dash, and center console are all in very nice condition. After-market gauges have been added to monitor this Bad Boy. This car as been gone through from one end to the other. We do not have receipts for the build, but any car enthusiast can see the time and big $$$ that have been invested. So if you don't want to spend a considerable amount of time and $$$ building a classic Mustang, this car is ready for the show or shine this summer. We have classic car financing available. It has power steering/brakes, electronic ignition, under dash R-134 A/C, and original 200 cubic inch 6 cylinder with automatic transmission. Not a Daily driver. Taken to car shows and cruises only."

(2 photos of a 1967 Silver Frost Mustang Convertible) Silver Frost 1967 Mustang convertible owned by Salima Stache from Germany. It has the 289ci 2V engine and an automatic transmission. Salima tells us, "I owned this car since 2011. The car is a special colored car with a 6 digit D.S.O. According to the Marti Report it is one of two cars with these special package. They were identical twins which were bought by the same car dealer in Texas. The DSO for this car is 62-4073. The Dealer was; Jack Roach Ford, 3200 Bissonet, Houston Texas 77005. Salima found, "The 2nd owner told me he got the car in great shape back then with the original silver color and only had to repair the a/c, the convertible top, and do an inspection."
