It still has the original 390ci engine in it. This was the biggest engine you could get in the 1967 Mustang. Steijvers has owned it since August 2007. He bought it in Alabama (US) and had it shipped to Holland. Steijvers is interested in getting in contact with other GTA 390 owners.

The GTA is a GT optioned Mustang with an Automatic transmission. GTA designations were only available in 1967. It has the 396ci V8 engine and the automatic transmission. The 'A' in GTA is for the GT with the Automatic transmission. This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting September 21, 2014. Rob tells us more, "I purchased this great S code genuine GTA in Wimbledon White with lovely 2D classic red interior. The original engine has been fully rebuilt and upgraded by FE Specialties who specialize in these big blocks. Bored to 396 ci, balanced, blue printed, bench run-in, and tuned. Comp CamShelby Hi rise manifold, ported and matched,650 Holly, Petronix 11. electronic ignition, ceramic coated try headers, polished Holly fuel pump, chrome rocker covers and air cleaner, twin exhaust system with free flow mufflers, 4 row radiator to keep all cool. The engine bay was stripped, painted, and detailed during the engine rebuild. The interior was completely retrimmed throughout with new seat cushions etc. new dash bezel and Green LCD leash lights when fitted inside the original blue dash light covers a lovely blue light is produced. Much easier to see the dash. Dash being Genuine GTA with Equipment Group option also has 6000 RPM Tachometer and centre clock which has been now fitted with quartz movement for accurate time keeping. The original radio was FM radio which was replaced with a Classic Retro Sound Radio with Ipad/phone connectivity, blue tooth amp and 4 retro speakers two are in parcel shelf and two are concealed above the transmission tunnel facing down. This was a 11 hour custom fit and produces a superb but very loud classic sound. The front suspension has been renewed and fitted with all new components including comfort shocks and new marginally lower front springs. Rear springs have been reset, a new 5th leaf added, and again comfort shocks fitted. Outside is nice and straight Wimbledon White paint with all new chrome bumpers and bright work. New Scott Drake remote exterior drivers and passenger mirrors have also been fitted. All glass is original with original optioned green tinted windows. Steering was the fast 16:1 ratio without power steering. Lots of feel on the road but was far was pleasant on our challenging drivers roads of Tasmania. Not wanting to change the essence or originality, the rack and pinion was passed up and an American Borgusen power steering 16:1 ratio was sourced along with a chrome Saginaw power steering pump and a full set of billet Aluminum double pulleys sourced from Summit Racing. New door rubbers and doors fully rebuilt with new window mechanisms, felt tracks and quarter vent rubbers, repinned door hinges and springs/cams. Work has started on full sound insulation (Resomat) throughout with only the trunk being completed to date. Full under carpet plus additional sound insulation will be undertaken shortly including inside of doors and under door panels to keep road noise and other noises confined to the outdoors. With Resomat it is expected that exterior noise will remain outside. New original styled wheels were ordered from the States in 15x7 for the front fitted with 225x60 and the rears with 235x60 BFG white letter tires. The remarkable Mustang is an absolute pleasure to drive and turns heads wherever it goes. It really is a classic muscle car and always work in progress which of course is great fun to work on."

It has the 5.0L V8 engine and manual transmission. Jan says only 1002 were in Deep Forest Green. This GTS has some modifications; Cobra front bumper, aftermarket hood, and spoiler. Nice job. The GTS model was a GT with base level items such as the cloth interior, no fog lights, and no spoiler.


(6 photos of a 1995 Laser Red Mustang GT GTS Coupe) This is a Laser Red 1993 Mustang GTS coupe. A GTS was basically a stripped down GT. They had many of the Base V6 characteristics, but with the GT engine and badging. They came without rear decklid spoilers, fog lamps, and front air dams. They did have the GT emblems and Mustang GT embossed into the rear bumper. Their interiors were cloth and contained all other Base V6 items but with the GT instrumentation. The GTS model name was only available in 1995, but you could get it as an option through 1998 as the 248A package.


(25 photos of a 2008 Silver Mustang GT Lone Star Ford GT-R Coupe) This is a dealer created special model 2008 Lone Star Ford 2008 Mustang coupe. It's owned by Bob DeCamp from Arvada, Colorado. Bob tells us, "Built to rival the Steeda Mustang 350, this rare Silver Premium GT-R was highly upgraded at Sonic Automotive (FKA Lone Star Ford) in Houston, Texas before its original sale in 2008. It runs like it's supercharged: Cold air intake, 65mm throttle body, long tube headers, Flowmaster exhaust and SCT X4 tuner can add 90+ RWHP. This Mustang has amazing acceleration and cornering. It was recently tuned. Tires are great. My mechanic says it will need rear suspension bushings soon. I have the owner's manual and two keys/fobs, but I don't have the code for the entry keypad. Its rear seats fold down for entry into the trunk. Fun to drive! Way above average AutoCheck score (80 versus avg 59). Here is a list of the unique upgrades, totaling over $11,500: Gen 1 body kit, Hurst 5-speed short shifter, Roush cold air intake, BBK Power Plus Twin-62MM throttle body, 40lb fuel injectors (stock is 24lb), fuel pressure gauge (on engine), Hooker BlackHeart long tube headers, Flowmaster exhaust system, SCT X4 engine programmer, Eibach front and rear sway bars, SMR strut tower brace, Tokico performance suspension pkg (all wheels), Lakewood ladder traction bars, drilled and slotted brake rotors (all wheels), 20-inch Shelby Cobra chrome wheels (some blistering on the inner rim, see photo), Nitto NT420S tires, Sirius Satellite ready, Steeda chrome engine bay dress up covers, BBK aluminum engine cover - GT Black upper grille for center lights, Raxiom LED fog lights, push button start kit, chrome interior trim package, brushed aluminum tail light bezel, rear wheel mud flaps, custom fueling cover, heavy duty nylon felt-lined car cover, and PocketPod trunk storage units."

The Ford GT has a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 mounted behind the seats to deliver 550 horsepower and 500 lb.-ft. of torque. The Ricardo 6-speed manual transaxle powers this super car to a top speed of 205 mph, with Brembo Anti-Lock vented disc brakes providing the stopping power. 2006 was the last year for the GT, and of the 4,038 GT's built only 343 were Heritage Editions in this color. The car shown here has all the factory options; Heritage paint, McIntosh stereo system, lightweight forged aluminum wheels, and Grey painted brake calipers. This car has an added Hennessey GT700, 710 HP engine upgrade.

But you can see the carbon fiber rear wing, unique front chin splitter, and the all important red snake grille badge. This badge is red for the GT350R, metallic for the GT350. The 19 inch carbon fiber wheels are just visible.
