was highly upgraded at Sonic Automotive (FKA Lone Star Ford) in Houston, Texas before its original sale in 2008. It runs like it's supercharged: Cold air intake, 65mm throttle body, long tube headers, Flowmaster exhaust and SCT X4 tuner can add 90+ RWHP. This Mustang has amazing acceleration and cornering. It was recently tuned. Tires are great. My mechanic says it will need rear suspension bushings soon. I have the owner's manual and two keys/fobs, but I don't have the code for the entry keypad. Its rear seats fold down for entry into the trunk. Fun to drive! Way above average AutoCheck score (80 versus avg 59). The result is a unique Super Snake with over 600hp and 590 ft-lbs of torque. It is also possible to tune up the engine to deliver 725hp. Most of the add-ons are available from either Shelby or Ford, so besides the Shelby factory, dealers, and owners can make their own. The price is about $30K higher than a GT500. As far as value, the Shelby factory upgrade is worth more, but since the parts are available anyone can upgrade a GT500 themselves.
