This car was our featured Attitude Of The Week for 08-31-08. Under the hood is a 351ci 4V Cleveland with factory air conditioning. This car is among the best restored Mach-1s in the world with 768 out of 800 points MCA Concours. Its full concours restoration was guidelined and detailed by Mustang International, a division of Musclecars International. Raynald also did some of the detailing. He is a 1969-70 Mustang Club of America certified judge and founder/administrator of the 1970 Mustang Mach1 World Registry (http://www.homestead.com/1970mach1/home.html). Jeff Speegle MCA National Head Judge also helped. It is completely restored to factory specifications with paint marks from all assembly manuals. The restoration of this Mach 1 was started in 1997 and completed in April 2000. 2000 hours of labors were required to detail and put this car in this incredible condition. VIN number is located on VIN tag on the dash, door tag, body tag, and fender apron. This Mach 1 was sold new by Sunset Ford in Westminster, California. It has been featured in a couple of magazines and TV shows; Canadian Classics Magazine September 2000, Mustang Times May 2001, SMAC Magazine Vol 2 no 3 2003, V-8 Passion Magazine October 2004, Invitational at All-Ford Nationals at Carlisle PA in June 2001, and a TV Show Auto Stop in February 2003.

Raynald tells us about the details: "Lots of original factory parts are on the car: all windows with correct date, dash pad, steering wheel, AM radio, exhaust tips, drums, front discs, tie rods, styled steel wheels with paint marks and an NOS spare tire that never touched the ground, wiper arm & blades, wipers motor, front & rear bumpers, antenna, and pop-open gas cap.
Serial Number: 0R05M167372 63C - G - 3A - 7/70 - 71 - 6 - X. The original exterior color is Medium Lime Metallic (code G). The original interior color is black vinyl (code 3A). Its schedule built date was July 1970 (code 7/70). Its district sale office was Los Angeles (code 71). The axle ratio was 3:00 for a standard non-locking (code 6). Its transmission is FMX Automatic (code X).
Paint: The paint is a base coat/clear coat with 40 hours of buffing on laser straight panel. There is two small chips, one on top of the passenger side front fender and one on the driver side rear extension. There is one scratch on the rear valence.
Sheet metal: The hood and rear quarter panel driver side were replaced. The rest is original to this car and you'll find all dates on any part of the body.
Engine & Transmission: Correct 1970 351-4V Cleveland with all correct date and casting number. The engine block # D0AE-L and date 0E14 for May 14, 1970. It is not the factory engine block but all #s and dates match for this car. The correct Autolite carburetor is sold with this vehicle. The automatic transmission is completely rebuilt and correct FMX type, but it has a D2 casting number.
Items required to make it #1 concours correct: Autolite battery ( presently Autolite cover on standard battery), Autolite distributor cap (presently no name black cap), Autolite Oil filter (presently a Fram filter), one engine belt, gas tank without drain plug, air conditioning is complete but non-functional and needs rebuilding, drive shaft joints without grease fitting, correct E-70 X 14 belted white sidewall tires, trunk mat underlayment, and the wheel opening moulding are not correct to this car but were a personal choice."

This was our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting September 5, 2010. The owner tells us more, "It was just restored. I am the original owner. There is still some to go but I am real happy with the results so far! In 1978, I changed the green color to Grabber Orange, took off the road in 1988, and 07/2009 started the restoration putting the color back to original."
