Robbie writes, The Mustang was found in San Jose, California, where it had been underneath a cloth for a long time, in a driveway, in a suburb area. It had no license plate, so details are minimal. It had torn white vinyl, chrome moldings and golden striping, and some holes on both C-sides where the 'Branded' emblems had been. These were the only original missing things. For the rest: it was totally original, even the safety directions on the steering wheel and in the trunk where there. It was bought and shipped to the Netherlands early 2005. I bought the Mustang late 2005 and that was the start of the process. The Mustang was restored and left in the original state, I had replica emblems made (from some pictures), but now I have an original one, so I will be able to finish up the Mustang with 'original replicas'. I used the Mustang for my wedding in 2006, special cars must be used for special occasions. Until that time, because of the timeline of production (February '68) and sale in August '68, we thought the Mustang was a St. Patrick's Day special... boy o boy, we where wrong... Wolfgang was the one who started digging in the right direction and everything fits, watertight proof, it couldn't be better. A Rainbow Mustang and a Branded Special, all in one... Who could ask for more?

Its possible that the vinyl roof and Branded special pony emblem was added by the dealer.

This was our featured Attitude Of The Week photo for the week starting December 27, 2009. Julie also has a 2006 Mustang. Julie shares, "I bought the car 8/9/03 as a 'Totally Restored Beauty'. It wasn't. It had been painted, the engine had been worked on, and the interior redone. I have done the rest. It now has FlowMaster dual exhaust, was stock with single exhaust. It has been converted from a 2bbl to a 4bbl system with an Edelbrock 1406 carburetor and a Ford 289 4bbl cast iron manifold. In my garage, I have a 351 Windsor on an engine stand that I have torn down and am waiting for the money to be saved for the 408 stroker parts I want. Then I will rebuild it myself. Yes, I am a girl who doesn't mind getting dirty. I have a full shop in my garage including engine hoist and tools. Donations are always welcome for this project."

Julie tells us more, "I bought this Mustang in August of 2003. Since then, I have started the process of converting it into a Shelby Coupe Tribute to the Green Hornet (only it will be red and have a 408 Stroker engine). I haven't decided whether to go with the original C-4 transmission or whether to use an FMX in it yet. The interior is mostly done, including Carroll Shelby's signature on my dash. I was able to get that prior to his death. It means the world to me."
