It's a one owner car owned by Bobby Blankenship. This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting August 26, 2012. Bobby adds, "I bought the car new from the local Ford Dealer in August 1967. It is 90% original, no rust and no bondo. It was repainted in 2007, other than that it is original. I have a 1969 set of wheels on it, but I have the original wheels and wheel covers. The car has 67000+ miles on it. Always garage kept."

The light blue color is a match for the Texas state flower called the bluebonnet. The cars were a territorial special for Texas just as the High Country Special was for Denver and the California Special for California. All 175 Blue Bonnet Special Mustangs where hardtops, had the sprint options package, blue luxury interior, steel styled wheels, with a 200ci in-line six or 289ci V8, and had a gold Lone Star Limited fender badge.

(from page 28 of the 1967 Collection) This Greenlight 1:68 scale Bluebonnet 1967 Lone Star Edition Mustang hardtop has dual exhaust and steel styled wheels. That's a South Dakota license plate.
(from page 28 of the 1967 Collection) Here is a close-up of the Lone Star Limit badge which has the Mustang pony painted on it with Lone Star Limit written below.
(from page 28 of the 1967 Collection) Looks like an automatic.
(from page 28 of the 1967 Collection) This car has the 289ci V8 optional engine with chrome air cleaner.
(from page 28 of the 1967 Collection) Here is the bottom of the 2008 edition of Greenlight. I think the 3050 is a serial number.
