(5 photos of a 1976 Black Mustang Ghia Stallion Coupe) Black 1976 Mustang II Ghia (with Stallion option) owned by Mark Williford from Beaumont, Texas. It has its original 5.0L 302 V8 and an automatic transmission. Mark adds, "This show car Mustang II Ghia was Lee Iacocco's comeback car that transitioned the Mustang back from the Muscle Mach 1s to the classic compact sports car of today's Mustangs.

Although repainted from its original Silver Metallic, the vehicle has a mirror gloss black paint that allows the trim chrome molding to accent the custom chrome rims. The vinyl landau Italian styled covering is in excellent condition with no fading, rips or tears and fits like a glove over the roof. Chrome trim lines accent and highlight iconic 70s opera windows.

Hand painted precision cranberry pin stripes compliment the interior and contrast nicely with the car's paint. This Ghia sports the Stallion Group Package features a rare Ford Mustang hood ornament in place of the grilled galloping pony. (grille has mounting bracket for the Pony).

Excellent cranberry interior with front bucket seats, headrest and rear seating are in excellent condition. The seating has no rips, tears or seat fading. Excellent dash with no rips, tears or fading sport the dial tach and speedometer. Classic digital flip clock does not work. Radio works and has the old school look that brings back great memories of the Bee Gees and George Jones. Baked steering wheel has slight fracture within hand control portion of wheel. This aesthetic defect does not impair or affect the steering mechanism. Steering is tight and straight with excellent power steering. Oversized custom chrome rims and wheels will rub inside fenders on tight turns and does make tight turns a challenge.

Car has working sunroof with classic working chrome hand crank and slide covering. Original owners manual and original 13 inch steel rim spare with white wall tire looks brand new. AC blows cold as was modified to accept new refrigerant. Engine runs solid with radiator showing minor signs of rust near top.

Car has solid automatic transmission, brakes, and power steering with 90% of all hoses replaced with recently replaced the thermostat. I have experienced the AC fuse blowing (was incorrect amp) but no problem after correcting.

Although this classic Detroit built 302 CID 5.OL V8 is a gas guzzler getting about 15 MPG, it's a solid powerful engine with a small head gasket oil leak developing. I purchased this vehicle from a successful Dentist who purchased it from the original owner. The paint, interior and AC work was done a great expense by the former owner (Dentist).

By adding 13 inch steel rims and original hubcaps and white walls and an air intake snorkel, it could easily transition into an excellent show car. Has potential to make a great muscle car with the right modifications. Contact me for transition of title as Texas requires signatures. I can assist in coordinating a delivery service. All shipping fees are responsibility of buyer. The manufacturer's sticker shows the car was manufactured in Dearborn, MI and is an original hard top Ghia. My Research shows only 37,515 of Iacocca's and Hal Sperlich's inspired (who played a major role in the original Mustang) Ghia's were manufactured."
