All numbers match on this one and it has Magnum 500 wheels, automatic transmission, and the F-code 302ci V8 engine. The 1969 Mustang Limited Edition 600 was a special spring 1969, promotion in the Philadelphia area. 508 cars were produced for this promotion which was 92 cars short of the 600 planned. The cars were available in either Flower Power Red (Ford special paint code WT5185) or Groovy Green (MX8241928). They came in both hardtop and fastback body styles, hood scoops, pin stripes, and many of the hardtops came with a black vinyl top. Each of the cars received a special Limited Edition 600 decal, which is located under the Mustang emblems on the front fenders.

Has viewer comments (from page 3 of the 1969 Collection) Close-up of the Limited Edition 600 fender badge. 509 of these were actually built, not quite 600 as the name suggests. Here you can also see a close-up of the three line pin stripe.
(from page 3 of the 1969 Collection) The original door data tag shows the blank paint code indicating that the special paint was the first paint and applied by the factory, a DSO of 16 (ordered in Philadelphia), and under a special order number 2788 (one of several special order numbers documented as being used by this special model).

Has viewer comments (from page 15 of the 1969 Collection) Flower Power Red 1969 Limited Edition 600 Mustang fastback owned by Jorge Guzman from Newfield, New Jersey. As with all 600s this one has the standard 200ci 6-cylinder engine. Jorge's father bought in on June 19th, 1969 from Owen Ford in Vineland New Jersey for $2802. It was stock number M336. This Mustang still looks new! Only 508 Limited Edition 600s were produced. They only came in Flower Power Red or Groovy Green.
(from page 15 of the 1969 Collection) These Limited Edition 600 decals are on the front fenders just behind the wheel openings.
(from page 15 of the 1969 Collection) The couple I have seen so far each have the hood scoop. The door data tag has a blank in the paint code indicating a special order paint (Flower Power Red in this case). This one has a DSO of 16-2783 (the 5 is for the axle). All Limited Edition 600's were in the 2783-2788 order range.
