Black 1978 Cobra II fastback owned by Gord Gow from Ingleside, Ontario, Canada. This was our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting December 12, 2010. Gord adds, "I bought this car in 1991. It was white with red interior. The first thing I did was paint it black and add the gold Corba II tape kit. The interior was also switched to black. In 2002 the hood scoop was muraled by Guy Frechette of Ingleside and from that we decided to scallop the car and add the fender murals."

Raven Black 1978 Mustang II King Cobra hatchback owned by Gerry Gray from Latahm, New York. Gerry adds,
"I purchased from the original owner in 1989. The exterior was originally red with an orange and gold King Cobra stripe package. The original 302 block was cracked so the car now sports a mild 306 and T-5 transmission. It is equipped with factory T-tops, 4-way adjustable front seat, power steering and brakes, 15-inch wheels, dual 2.5 inch exhaust into a single 3-inch over the the rear, rear mounted battery,
subframe connectors, SSM lift bars, and aftermarket Autometer gauges"

Black 1978 Mustang II Cobra II hatchback owned by Bryan Russell from Chesterfield. Michigan. It says "Hellraiser II" on the windshield. Bryan tells us more,
"I got the car about eight months ago. I have been looking for this car 10 years and finally got it. It is an original Cobra II with 5.0. It had a 302 in it when I got it. It now has a 347 with 355 rear. I had this same car in high school and wanted another one. The car is really cool gets lots of looks."

Check out this Black 1978 Mustang II Cobra II taken in 1979. It was owned by George Dixon from Knoxville, Tennessee. It had a 302ci V8 and an automatic. George shares,
"I had this Mustang back in 1979. It had the factory T-tops and the white painted wheels. I did put aftermarket 'Turbo Back' mags on it. I wish we had digital cameras back then but this is my only picture... sigh"

Black 1978 Mustang II hatchback with hood scoop and the base entry level Y-code, 93hp (at 4000rpm), 140 cubic inch (2.3 liter), 2 barrel, 4 cylinder engine. The 1974 to 1978 Mustangs were all about economy at the gas station. Lee Iacocca really influenced the design era by forcing these years to be light allowing a low power engine to provide a high performance driving experience.
