(1 photo of a 1966 Sauterne Gold Mustang GT Fastback) Check out the custom speaker panels in the rear. The owner explains, "The stereo is hidden in vehicle. It has a Hidden Custom Audio Stereo with the remote head unit mounted in the glove box. It contains an mp3, iPod, usb, and remote control. A 5-channel Alpine amplifier is driving two MTX 3.5s in dash, with FOCAL 6-inch and separates mounted in the vinyl covered kick panels. The 10-inch pioneer shallow sub is in a custom designed enclosure. It is mounted out of site and in the rear cavity by wheel well. The amplifier is also mounted on a customized mount in the other wheel well. All staying completely hidden behind interior panels. (contact me at sales@cloudcasters.com for a set $300.00). (6 photos of a 1967 Black And Aspen Red Mustang Ski Country Special Hardtop) Jason of Michigan brought this special Mustang in the rough back from Nebraska. He saw it a few years ago showing its unusual orange original paint here and there. Jason ran the VIN and door data code (65A blank 2A 16C 511913 0 W) and found it to be originally painted Aspen Red, ordered in the Denver area, and has filled in truck lid holes from a luggage rack. This all matches the local Denver special order Ski Country Special promotional package which was the winter version of High Country Special. This promotion featured 5 special order paints (Aspen Red being one of them), ski racks (trunk lid luggage rack), snow tires, and a Ski Country Special rear deck plaque. Jason hasn't found the original plaque but he's been able to confirm from other owners that this is a Ski Country Special. See the other photos in this set for glimpses of the original color and features.

(1 photo of a 1968 Madagascar Orange Mustang Rainbow Of Colors Hardtop) We received this email of a second special orange/red Mustang with DSO 710777. This one is under restoration along with a possible other special order Mustang. The owner writes, I have recently bought a 1968 Mustang and discovered the original color was a unique orange. After searching the VIN I discovered your site. I have DSO 710777. If you look closely at the picture you can see the original color of Madagascar Orange where the drip rails where removed. Also the trunk have never been touched and is the original Madagascar Orange. I am excited to re-store her one day and preserve Mustang history. Yet another twist of fate! I also owned a 66 Mustang for over 10 years and finally began to sand her layers of paint. Well as I began to remove door panels, and look in places I found a Bubble Gum color pink. Long story short, we believe this Mustang to have been originally painted Playmate pink which was only a special order in 66 and not officially offered. So I am honored to have 2 rare painted Mustang and hope to be able to save up to restore them to their original glory!

(5 photos of a 1968 White Mustang Fastback) Dave Fingar is restoring this 1968 Mustang fastback. Dave tells us about his progress so far, "I bought a disassembled shell last April and spent most of the summer removing and repairing rust. I am now working in my heated basement and have rebuilt the suspension and brakes. Last weekend we installed the engine. I expect the rest of the drivetrain to go in this week. January and February will be final body detail, then March is paint - white with blue stripes. Hope to be driving it this summer."
