(from page 2 of the 2002 Collection) True Blue 2002 Mustang coupe owned by Steve Tapper from Reisterstown, Maryland. It has a 3.8 liter V6 engine and an automatic transmission. Steve tells us more, "I purchased this car in May 2008 from a used car dealer in Baltimore. The car had 75,000 miles on it. It had some minor body work issues but it was mechanically sound and a good candidate to use as both a daily driver and a car show entry. Over the past two years I have been upgrading this car both mechanically and cosmetically. On the mechanical side the radiator, transmission, power brake, and power steering systems have been flushed and treated with BG products. The brakes have been totally rebuilt with new rotors, calipers, and ceramic brake pads. New ball joints and tie rods have firmed up the front suspension and new Gabriel HD Shocks are on the back. The original faded headlights have been replaced with new triple beam halogen lights and an American Muscle cold air intake system has been added. A new Dyna Max cat back dual exhaust system gives this car a nice mellow growl. New American Muscle 5 spoke 16-inch Cobra R wheels now replace the mismatched wheels that came with the car. The windows have been tinted and the car has just come back from the body shop where the body work was repaired and a brand new factory OEM paint job has brought back the original True Blue color. I have purchased new silver side stripes from American Muscle and a new white faced gauge package which will be installed shortly. The car now gets admiring looks from everyone and appears at many local car shows. This will be my second year as an attendee at the Ford Nationals at Carlisle, PA where I will be part of the contingent representing the Mustang Club of Maryland, where I serve as the Club's Historian."

(from page 2 of the 2002 Collection) You couldn't get a Cobra in the United States back in 2002. Kevin Abrahamson built his own! Kevin explains, "I scored this 02 GT with 60K in 06 for $3200 needing collision repair. It had a 2-inch Eibach suspension lowering kit and a very rude Magnaflow exhaust system. Since I already had 2001 Cobra front and rear bumper covers as well as a 2001 Cobra hood, I decided to Cobra Clone it. I also attached the factory GT hood scoop to the Cobra hood to give it an individual look. There were minor bolt on upgrades to the motor and the rear differential and the transmission is a stock Tremec with Ford Motorsports clutch setup." Kevin owns other Mustangs as well.

(from page 2 of the 2002 Collection) This 2002 Mustang GT coupe is painted True Blue. It is the darker of two blues offered in 2002. The lighter one is called Sonic Blue.

This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting October 23, 2017. It has the 4.6L V8 engine and a manual transmission. Gordon tells us, "Owned six years, fitted lowered progressive rate springs and 10's and 9' rims. Believed to be one of only five Zinc Yellow 2002 Cobra convertibles in existence."

(from page 6 of the 2002 Collection) Laser Red 2002 Mustang convertible owned by Reid from McKinleyville, California. It has the 3.8L V6, cold air intake, Plastidipped wheel caps, GT fog lights, and J Mod. According to another site: "The J-Mod shift modifications were designed by a Ford transmission engineer, these modifications allow for faster shifting and extended transmission life. The J-Mod does this by allowing faster fluid flow, thus greatly decreasing the shift time."
